  • This course introduces the key concepts of drayage and intermodal logistics, covering essential terminology and acronyms (D/O, ERD, CY, CFS, SSL, SOC). Scholars will learn about drayage classifications, including expedited, pier, and door-to-door services, and the basics of intermodal shipping. The course explores transporting goods via drayage, rail shipping, contracting services, rates, insurance, and equipment cases. It also addresses truck driver requirements such as TWIC, SCAC, and UIIA certifications, marine insurance policies, and relevant industry memberships and associations.
